VJing with Artificialeyes.tv in Istambul

Well, after a troubled voyage to Istambul, I finally got there on Friday night. Mr Todd was away to LA for some gigs and Michael gave me a warm welcome on his house, with a great view over the Bosforus. He put me up to date with the most recent beta version of the 3L (thrill) software.
VJ's, prepare! - that's all I can say to this amazing piece of mac software, as it now flows steady as a rock together with a great interface design.
It will soon be on the market, and I am quite sure that this, together with all the amazing work they have been doing on the turkish night scene, will definetly push them to the top 10 VJ's in the world... Realtime 3D .obj manipulation, total control over all effects, 6 realtime layers manipulation, objects mapping and morphing, you name it.
Artificialeyes.tv have been working hard in these last years and taking every step as a well defined strategy towards worldwide recognition.
Their most recent partnership with VMS has turned into a masterstroke, as they have developed an additional module to 3L that allows total control over the movements of the mirrors via DMX.
All projectors are connected to a single DMX output (a technical wonder) that plugs into the powerbook with a simple USB. They are, at this moment, the only VJ crew in the world owning 8 VMS projectors (!) in their setup. And what a show!

We took the whole afternoon of saturday setting up the hardware at the ROXY, one of the ten best bar/discos in Istambul. That included not only the set-up of the projectors, as well as hangig the thulle, that provides a unique projection surface. The party presented german Mousse-T, that performed a very steady and consistent housemusic DJ set. That night was one of the many Burn (energy drink) promotional parties artificialeyes.tv are doing visuals to. By the way, Burn and Vodka go very well together :-)

Hope to do something big with you guys again (were did I hear that?) :-). Love and peace...
